Train Collides With Truck In East L.A. County

INDUSTRY, Calif. (AP) ― A freight train has collided with a big rig in an industrial area of eastern Los Angeles County.

Los Angeles County Fire Department Inspector Sam Padilla said no one was injured in the Tuesday morning collision that left a mountain of cargo from the totaled truck littering the street.

Padilla did not know what caused the accident at the railroad crossing in the city of Industry. He also did not know what the truck was carrying or which train line was involved in the crash.

The Union Pacific and Southern Pacific railroads both run through Industry.
