A teenager was wounded Sunday in an apparent drive-by shooting in Downey.

A 15-year-old boy was wounded Sunday in an apparent drive-by shooting in Downey, according to police.
The shooting occurred at around 12:45 a.m. in the 10800 block of Studebaker Road, Downey police Sgt. K. McCaster said.
The victim, whose name has not been released, was standing with a few friends when a gunman in a vehicle opened fire, McCaster said.
He was taken to a hospital and was expected to survive, McCaster said.
