Local health authorites in Southern California say they've found nine more cases of swine flu in San Diego County and four more cases in the city of Long Beach.
The San Diego County Health and Human Services agency says its tally of swine flu cases is now 24.
One of the new cases, an 18-year-old woman, was hospitalized but has since recovered.
In Long Beach, health officials say the four new cases raise the city's total to five, which includes a student at California State University, Long Beach, whose case was confirmed Saturday.
According to a press release, three of the four new cases are school-age children and none of the new cases involve recent travel to Mexico.
State public health officials have not yet added the locally reported new cases to California's confirmed total.
