A hit-and-run driver crashed into a house in South Los Angeles Thursday, causing minor injuries to a 30-year-old mother and her 7-year-old son, who were inside the house.
A hit-and-run driver crashed into a house in South Los Angeles Thursday, causing minor injuries to a 30-year-old mother and her 7-year-old son, who were inside the house.
The accident at 8230 S. Normandie Ave., near 82nd Street, was reported around 9:55 p.m., said d'Lisa Davies of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Paramedics took both victims to a hospital, Davies said.
The car's driver escaped on foot, leaving the vehicle behind following the accident, she said.
The crash caused moderate damage to the home, which was being inspected by personnel from the Department of Building and Safety, Davies said.
