Police are looking for a man who shot and killed two people and wounded a third during a shooting spree in the Echo Park and Glassel Park areas.
Los Angeles Police Department Officer Karen Smith said the drive-by shootings are believed to be gang-related and began around 5 p.m. on Sunday night when shots rang out on Baxter Street in Echo Park, where one person was killed.
Smith said minutes later, the suspect shot and injured someone else a few blocks away, on Echo Park Avenue, before traveling northeast to Glassell Park, where another victim was shot and killed.
Police describe the suspect's vehicle as a black truck.
Smith said the victim shot on Echo Park Avenue was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
