Man Shoots Daughter, Her Mother, Kills Self
LOS ANGELES (CBS) ―
A man shot his 26-year-old daughter and her mother on Thursday in Rowland Heights and then fatally shot himself, authorities said.
Paramedics were sent to the 2400 block of South Joel Drive about 7:20 a.m., said Capt. Mike Brown of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The 54-year-old man died at the scene, said Deputy Ed Hernandez of the Sheriff's Headquarters Bureau. His name was withheld pending notification of relatives.
Paramedics took the women to a hospital, where the 50-year-old was in critical condition and her daughter was in stable condition, Hernandez said.
The younger woman told deputies that "her father had just shot her mother and then himself," Hernandez said.
