Body Of Man Who Dove Off Laguna Beach Cliff Found

Rescuers found William Barrientos' body Monday.

The body of a 22-year-old man, who jumped off of a cliff and into the ocean in Laguna Beach, was found Monday at Table Rock Beach.
A search for William Barrientos of Lake Forest began at about 6 p.m. Sunday when he dove into the water at Table Rock Beach and never made it back to shore.
A person walking in the area with a child called 911 after they saw the man jump into the water and realized that he was having trouble making it to shore, Kravetz said.
Witnesses said Barrientos got caught in a current and went under water.
Meanwhile, someone on the beach tried to rescue Barrientos, but was unable to do so, Kravetz said.
Rescuers, including personnel from the U.S. Coast Guard, suspended their search around nightfall, but resumed it at daybreak.
No other information was immediately available.
