Gov. Says His UCLA Medical Records Were Breached

LOS ANGELES (AP) ― Governor Schwarzenegger says he is among those whose medical records have been breached at UCLA Medical Center.

During a news conference in Sacramento, Schwarzenegger called on hospitals to better protect patients' privacy. The Los Angeles Times reported earlier thatfirst lady Maria Shriver also had been a victim of snooping at the medical center.

The identity of the woman responsible for looking at Shriver's files was not released. Officials told the Times on Sunday that she is the same employee who sneaked into actress Farrah Fawcett's medical records.

The hospital says that worker was fired in May 2007 after UCLA learned of the widespread breaches.

Schwarzenegger says his administration will work with the hospitals to improve protections.
