Rain Predictions Increased In Southland

LOS ANGELES (AP) ― Meteorologists in Southern California increased the rain predictions slightly to 2 to 4 inches overnight in the lowlands, with 6 inches possible in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains and 7- to 12 inches overnight in the south-facing mountains from Ventura County on down to San Diego.

Ken Clark, senior meteorologist with Accuweather.com, also reported a third storm, on Sunday, is now looking to be stronger than they initially thought.

He said it has already started raining in Ventura County, as far south at Point Conception.

In Northern California, Clark said there recently was a wind gust of 89 miles per hour in Los Gatos and several gusts of 65 miles an hour at the San Francisco Airport.
