Police Search For Subway Restaurant Robber

LOS ANGELES (CBS) ― A man who robbed a Subway sandwich restaurant at gunpoint in the Wilshire area remained at large on Friday, and police asked for the public's help in finding him.

The robbery occurred about 2:45 a.m. Monday at the business in the 4200 block of Beverly Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The man pretended to be a customer before pulling out a handgun and demanding money.

The clerk complied and he fled. No one was hurt.

The suspect was described as black, in his mid-20s or 30s, about 5 feet 9 inches and 145-170 pounds. He had black hair and brown eyes and wore metal- frame eyeglasses.

He may be the same man who robbed a TM Wireless store at 3850 Wilshire Blvd. on Jan 4, police said.

Authorities released security video of the suspect and urged anyone knowing more about him to call police.
