Motorist, 61, Fatally Hit After Man Ran Red Light

WEST COVINA A 22-year-old driver who ran a red light and caused a collision that killed a 61-year-old man in unincorporated Valinda was behind bars Sunday, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Elliott M. Imm of Duarte was driving a 1992 Honda that ran a red light on Valinda Avenue about 11:20 p.m. Saturday, according to the CHP. The southbound Honda broadsided a 2003 Chrysler, knocking it into another car and killing the 61-year-old driver.

Imm was taken to Queen of the Valley Hospital. A 22-year-old Los Angeles woman in his car also went to the same hospital with minor injuries.

The Ford driver was not seriously hurt.
