Authorities Saturday sought the public's help in locating a man who reportedly raped and assaulted a woman in Pasadena before dropping the victim off at an undisclosed location in Los Angeles, a police lieutenant said.
Pasadena police Lt. Chris Russ said the woman victim was picked up by a motorist in a pick-up truck from a bus stop on Colorado Boulevard near San Gabriel Boulevard at about 3 a.m. Friday.
The victim willingly got into the pick-up truck and the suspect drove her to an isolated location where he forcibly raped and assaulted her, Russ said.
After the assault, the attacker dropped her off at a secluded spot in Los Angeles, according to Pasadena police Lt. Tracey Ibarra.
Russ said the suspect was described as a 5-foot'10-inch male - in his 40's; weighing 285 pounds, brown hair, blue eyes and unshaven. He was last seen wearing a dark jacket, blue jeans and a dark colored "L.A. Dodgers" baseball cap.
He was driving a white newer model pick-up truck that appeared to be used as a utility or contractor's vehicle. The vehicle had a utility rack and a ladder on top of it, Pasadena Police said. The truck also has some kind of emblem on both doors.
Police asked anyone with any information regarding the attack to call the Pasadena Police Department at (626) 744-4522.
