Police Pursuit Ends In Crash In Lynwood

Authorities chased a grand theft auto suspect in Lynwood Monday morning.

South Gate police Monday chased a stolen vehicle to Lynwood, where a vehicle crashed and the motorist was arrested.
The chase began at around 6:40 a.m. at Long Beach Boulevard and Southern Avenue, according to Amelia Earhart, who was overhead in Sky 2.
The suspect was wanted for grand theft auto, Earhart reported.
The chase ended at California and Imperial Highway when the suspect in the Toyota Camry crashed into a garbage truck, South Gate police Lt. F. Arocha said.
The driver, whose name was not immediately released, was transported to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries, Arocha said.
