Police Identify Man Found In Chemical-Filled Car

PASADENA, Calif. (AP) ― Authorities say a man who forced the evacuation of several large stores and hundreds of people in Pasadena when he was found dead in a car full of chemicals was a local 23-year-old.

Police Lt. John Dewar said Wednesday the death of Taylor Walker of Pasadena appears to be a suicide, but police are waiting for a coroner's report for confirmation.

Walker was found on Monday afternoon slumped over with several open containers of garden chemicals in the back seat of a white Volkswagen Beetle, and a note on the driver's-side window that read "danger."

Emergency crews were called to the scene because the chemicals posed a threat if combined.
