More than 200 social services workers are being laid off in Orange County.

Orange County has laid off 210 social service workers and eliminated 100 vacant positions.
Monday's cuts are intended to shave at least $32 million from the budget after expected state funding fell short.
Officials say all 4,200 employees at the county's social services agency will be required to take an 80-hour furlough in the next year to save more money.
County executives say the reductions are the largest since the county declared bankruptcy in 1994 and will protect core services, such as law enforcement.
The county also plans to cut 58 jobs in the probation department and may reduce health care staff in coming months.
Child advocates say the staff cuts hurt needy children and families.
