Authorities are searching for three armed robbers who walked into a Northridge home Thursday night and assaulted one man and escaped with jewelry and cash.
The home invasion robbery took place at 18000 block of Napa Street near Wilbur Avenue, in Northridge according to police.
It was reported at 9:38 p.m.
"Three male gunmen armed with semi-automatic pistols and wearing ski masks walked into the house through an unlocked front door," said Los Angeles police Sgt. Tim Walters of the Devonshire Station.
The home's occupants at the time of the robbery were all in one of the bedrooms when the gunmen entered the house, said Walters.
No shots were fired during the robbery but one man was apparently pistol-whipped by one of the gunmen Walters said.
"He definitely had a big knot on his head," said Walters.
It was unclear how the suspects left the scene.
Anyone with information on this robbery was asked to call the LAPD's Devonshire Station at (818) 832-0633.
