20-Year-Old Woman Found Dead On Road

RIVERSIDE A 20-year-old woman was found dead Saturday on Van Buren Boulevard in unincorporated Pedley, according to the coroner.

The woman's name and hometown were not released.

Her body was reportedly found in the roadway on Van Buren Boulevard just south of Limonite Avenue about 1:15 a.m. Saturday, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The woman was declared dead at the scene at 1:24 a.m., according to the coroner.

A coroner's investigator described the woman's death as "suspicious."

At least one detective from the sheriff's central homicide unit was assigned to the case.
