Motorist Runs Red Light, Strikes Reseda Metro Bus

The accident involving the 60-foot "articulated" bus, which is hinged in the middle, occurred about 8:45 a.m. at Reseda Boulevard and Oxnard Street, said Metro's Jose Ubaldo.
A motorist who ran a red light and struck a Metro bus on the Orange Line Busway in Reseda on Tuesday was taken to a hospital with chest pains, authorities said.
The accident involving the 60-foot "articulated" bus, which is hinged in the middle, occurred about 8:45 a.m. at Reseda Boulevard and Oxnard Street, said Metro's Jose Ubaldo.
The driver of the car was taken to a hospital for examination, Ubaldo said, adding that no one aboard the bus was injured.
Witnesses said the car was southbound on Reseda Boulevard when the driver ran a red light and hit the front end of the westbound bus, Ubaldo said.
