Father, Son Killed In Montebello Party Shooting

MONTEBELLO, Calif. (AP) ― A father and his 12-year-old son are dead after someone opened fire on a crowd at a backyard high school graduation party in Los Angeles County.

A man and a woman also were struck by gunfire but are recovering.

Montebello police said the shooting late Saturday night claimed the lives of Juan Alberto Garcia, 44, and his son, Albert Anthony Garcia. Both died at an area hospital shortly after arrival.

A man and a woman in their 20s also were wounded. The man was treated at the scene and the woman was hospitalized but has since been released.

Police continue to investigate and have not announced any arrests or a motive for the attack.
