Authorities were asking for the public's help Sunday in the search to find a missing 69-year-old professional violinist from Van Nuys.
Robert Alan Korda was last seen at his Van Nuys home Wednesday at 3 p.m., according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Family members told police that Korda was scheduled to be at work at Gower Studios, but never showed up.
"Nobody knows where he is at
at all. He has just completely disappeared," his son, Noa Korda said.
The family said it was out of character for Korda to lose contact with his them.
"We're trying to retrace his steps. So for him not to show up to a job and not to report in is just really bizarre," his son said.
Noa said there has been no activity on any of his father's banking or credit card accounts since he vanished and there was no reason to believe the man had been upset or distressed about anything.
"This is like so unlike him to do something like this. I mean, we usually know every step that he makes cause he keeps notes of everything and where he goes," Noa said.
Korda is described as a white male with grey hair and brown eyes and a goatee. He is 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighs about 135 pounds and wears eyeglasses.
His car, a white two-door 1993 Chevy Geo Metro convertible, is also missing. The California license plate is 3GPJ453.
Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts can call the LAPD's Missing Persons Unit at (213) 485-5381 or (877) LAPD-24-7.
