Entertainment mogul Merv Griffin, 82, is fighting an uphill battle with prostate cancer, according to Entertainment Tonight.
"Sources now tell ET the prognosis isn't looking good, but his reps won't confirm or deny," Entertainment Tonight reports on its Web site.
Griffin, who has had a home in La Quinta for the past 20 years, was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles in mid-July after a recurrence of the prostate cancer he battled in 1996.
Griffin created the popular game shows "Jeopardy!" and "Wheel of Fortune" and hosted the "Merv Griffin Show."
