More than 7,250 marijuana plants have been uprooted in a remote area of the Los Padres National Forest north of Ojai.
The plants had a potential street value of more than $14 million. They were discovered in a drainage area stretching from Wheeler Gorge Campground to Rose Valley.
The Ventura County Sheriff's Department says the growers had three makeshift campsites, irrigation systems and fertilizer.
No one has been arrested.
