A man has pleaded guilty to first-degree murder in the beating death of a 6-year-old Los Angeles boy.
Prosecutors say Marcas Fisher entered his plea Monday in Compton Superior Court.
Fisher is accused of killing Dae'von Bailey in his South Los Angeles home. The boy's body was found July 23.
The boy's mother left the boy and his sister with Fisher, and child welfare officials approved the temporary custody arrangement.
Fisher was arrested in Las Vegas in August.
Prosecutors have agreed to drop a charge of assault on a child causing death.
Fisher faces 25 years to life in prison when he is sentenced next month.
