Police said Sunday a bicyclist, who allegedly rode through a red light, was struck and killed by a van in Long Beach.
The unidentified man was riding a bike south on Magnolia Avenue at around 9:50 p.m. Friday and crossed Sixth Street against the red light, Long Beach Detective Sirilo Garcia said. A van, heading east on Sixth, hit him, Garcia said.
The victim, who carried no identification, was taken to a hospital, where he died, Garcia said.
The driver of the van was questioned and released at the scene.
Police asked anyone with information to call Detective Garcia at (562) 570-7355.
