Man Found Dead In Hollywood Apartment

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (CBS) ― A homicide investigation was under way after a man was found dead in his Hollywood apartment, authorities said Wednesday.

A maintenance worker found the body of the 52-year-old victim in the 1700 block of North Cherokee Avenue at around 5 p.m. Tuesday, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.

"Evidence at the crime scene indicates that the victim was murdered," police said in a news release.

The man's name has been withheld pending notification of his relatives.

An autopsy was pending to determine the cause of death.
