Police: Man Starved To Death In Baldwin Park Home

BALDWIN PARK, Calif. (CBS) ― Deputies said they found a man who apparently starved to death in his Baldwin Park apartment Sunday.

The man seemed to be "severely malnourished," according to sheriff's Deputy, Lillian Peck.

Sheriff's homicide detectives were called to assist Baldwin Park police with the investigation.

The man was discovered at around 8 a.m. in an apartment in the 3100 block of Vineland Avenue, Peck said.

Authorities said there was no evidence of foul play. They suspect the man may have suffered from a mental illness.
