SoCal Man, 67, Dies In Fall During Fish Camp Hike
FISH CAMP, Calif. (AP) ―
A Southern California man has died after a fall during a hike near the Madera County mountain resort of Fish Camp.
Authorities say the 67-year-old man was hiking with his wife Tuesday when he slipped and fell into a pool of water below a waterfall.
Madera Sheriff's spokeswoman Erica Stuart says the man's wife scrambled down rugged terrain to pull him from the water, but efforts to resuscitate him failed.
The name of the man has not been released.
Fish Camp is located just south of the entrance to Yosemite National Park.
