Hang Glider Crash Causes Brush Fire In Malibu

MALIBU, Calif. (AP) ― A motorized hang glider has crashed in Malibu, injuring the pilot and sparking a brief brush fire.

Los Angeles County fire Inspector Frank Garrido says the gilder went down shortly after 11 a.m. Wednesday near Malibu Bluffs State Park.

A quarter-acre grass fire was quickly extinguished.

Garrido says the pilot was treated at the scene for burns and his injuries are not considered life-threatening.
