Vivica Fox Pleads Not Guilty To 2 DUI Charges
LOS ANGELES (CBS) ―
Actress Vivica Fox pleaded not guilty Thursday to a pair of misdemeanor drunken driving charges stemming from her March arrest in the San Fernando Valley.
Fox, 42, is charged with driving under the influence and driving with a blood-alcohol content of .08 or above, according to the City Attorney's Office.
The charges could result in six months in jail and a $1,000 fine.
The former "Dancing With the Stars" contestant was pulled over for allegedly passing a marked black-and-white California Highway Patrol unit at about 80 mph in a 2007 Cadillac Escalade on the eastbound Ventura (101) Freeway shortly before 11 p.m. March 20.
Fox, who was "unable to maintain lane position," failed a field sobriety test, according to California Highway Patrol Officer Leland Tang of the West Valley Office.
Fox's film credits include the "Kill Bill" films and "Independence Day."
She is due back in court Oct. 29, according to the celebrity news Web site TMZ.com.
