Man Found Dead In South Los Angeles House Fire

LOS ANGELES A man in hit 80s was found dead on Friday at the scene of a house fire in South Los Angeles, authorities said.

Firefighters sent to the 1200 block of W. 58th Street about 6:30 a.m. rescued a woman in her 60s from the burning home and found the fatally injured man, said d'Lisa Davies of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The woman was taken to a hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation. The fire was extinguished in about a half hour. The cause of the blaze was under investigation.
