HOLLYWOOD A 24-year-old woman with head injuries was airlifted off a cliff in the Hollywood Hills today as firefighters worked to rescue a man apparently stuck on the same precipice.

The woman was one of two people rescued from Bronson Canyon, known as the location of the Batcave from the 1960s television series "Batman."

The woman was in serious condition and airlifted to an area hospital, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Details on the second person were not immediately available.

Emergency crews were sent to the 5800 block of Franklin Avenue shortly before 2 this afternoon, said d'Lisa Davies of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
