Compton Hit-And-Run Critically Injures Pedestrian

A pedestrian was critically injured when he was struck by a vehicle in Compton Sunday.

Authorities were still looking for the driver, who allegedly fled the scene, after hitting a pedestrian in the unincorporated area of East Compton.
The hit-and-run accident, which occurred at about 1:10 a.m. Sunday, happened at South Atlantic Avenue and Linsley Street, CHP Officer Jennifer Connolly said.
An unidentified pedestrian, who was transported to a hospital, was listed in critically condition, Connolly said.
Police were searching for a vehicle with front-end damage. The hit-and-run suspect may have been driving a gray Toyota pick-up truck.
