Three stranded hikers have been rescued after they became lost in heavily forested area of the Angeles National Forest.
Authorities said the man and two women, all in their 20s, had been hiking for about four hours Saturday and became frightened when they became disoriented.
The hikers used a cell phone to call for help and a Los Angeles County sheriff's helicopter found them on a sheer cliff under a canopy of trees.
None of the hikers, who were not identified, suffered any serious injury.
