Three young women suspected of stealing another woman's earrings and slashing her face in a Target parking lot in Gardena were at large Friday, police said.
The victim had returned to her vehicle after shopping at the Target in the 2100 block of West Redondo Beach Boulevard at 2:27 p.m. Dec. 27th when a woman reached through the driver's door window and yanked a three-inch gold hoop earring from her left ear and slashed her above her left eye, said Lt. Ed Burnett of the Gardena Police Department.
The suspect then snatched an earring from the victim's other ear and cut
her again in the face before she and a second woman got into a white Dodge Stratus driven by a third woman, Burnett said.
They left the parking lot and were last seen headed north on Van Ness Avenue, Burnett said.
The three women are believed to be 18 to 21 years old.
Anyone with information about the robbery was asked to contact Detective Mike Ross of the Gardena Police Department at (310) 217-9607 or (310) 217-9670.
