O.C. Woman Dies In Collision With Wrong-Way Driver

Deborah Pearson, 51, of Garden Grove, was a passenger in a northbound Hyundai Santa Fe that apparently collided with the wrong-way driver's vehicle, according to the coroner.

A Garden Grove woman was killed in a collision with a wrong-way driver on Interstate 15 in Victorville Saturday, according to the San Bernardino County coroner.
At 12:56 a.m. Saturday, California Highway Patrol dispatchers received reports of a wrong-way driver going south in the northbound lanes of Interstate 15 in the Victorville area, coroner's officials said.
Five minutes later, the CHP received a report of a head-on collision on the northbound 15 about one mile north of Bear Valley Road, coroner's officials said.
Deborah Pearson, 51, of Garden Grove, was a passenger in a northbound Hyundai Santa Fe that apparently collided with the wrong-way driver's vehicle, according to the coroner.
Pearson was pronounced dead at 1:14 a.m. at the crash scene, coroner's officials said.
The Highway Patrol investigated the crash. The alleged wrong-way driver's name and condition were not released.
