Car Accident In West L.A. Kills 1, Injures 4

WEST LOS ANGELES Authorities said a car accident involving several vehicles killed one person Tuesday and injured four others in West Los Angeles.

The collision, which occurred at the 2800 block of Westwood Boulevard, happened just north of the Santa Monica 10 Freeway.

Paramedics were sent to the 2800 block of Westwond Boulevard at about 11:30 a.m., Diana Igawa of the Los Angeles Fire Department said.

According to officials, a total of four people were being treated and transported to area hospitals.

According to the preliminary investigation, the accident involved a vehicle that struck several parked vehicles, Los Angeles police Officer Ana Aguirre of the Media Relations Section said.

The conditions of the survivors were not immediately known.
