The U.S. Geological Survey says a magnitude-4.6 earthquake has shaken a remote area of the Mojave Desert in Southern California. There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
The tremor occurred at 1:21 p.m. Monday near Trona, the latest of a number of small earthquakes that have occurred around Southern California over two days.
The USGS says the epicenter was 117 miles northeast of downtown Los Angeles.
San Bernardino County fire spokeswoman Tracey Martinez says no damage has been reported.
Earlier Monday, a magnitude-3.6 quake occurred south of Anza in the vicinity of the Riverside-San Diego County line, about 30 miles southwest of Palm Springs. On Sunday, a magnitude-4.3 quake and a smaller tremor occurred well offshore near San Nicolas Island.
