Man Died, Woman 'Critical' After Pool Drowning

CANYON COUNTRY Sheriff's homicide detectives Saturday are investigating an incident in a swimming pool in Canyon Country that left a man dead and a woman hospitalized in critical condition.

Deputies responding to a call for help found the pair drowning in a pool at a residence at Rosehaven Lane and Rue Entree about 9:45 p.m. Friday, Deputy Arturo Spencer of the Sheriff's Headquarters Bureau said.

Both victims were taken to a local hospital, where the man was pronounced dead and the woman was listed in critical condition, said Deputy Aura Sierra.
