A boy, 8, and a teenager were thrown out the back of Mercedes SUV that moments earlier had struck a motorcycle in North Hills. The 8-year-old boy and the cycle rider were killed, police said Sunday.
Details were released by Los Angeles police Sunday about the wreck at 4 p.m. Saturday in the 9400 block of Haskell Avenue, near the signal at Plummer Street.
Officials have not released the name of the child, or the gender of the injured teenager. But they said the motorcyclist who was killed at the scene was Robert Cesar Alamilla Ochoa, 32, of North Hills.
A Mercedes Benz sports utility vehicle traveling southbound on Haskell struck the motorcyclist, who was making a left turn from northbound Haskell Avenue into an east-west alley just south of Plummer Street, LAPD officers said Sunday.
The Mercedes continued southbound into the northbound lanes on Haskell Avenue and struck a Chevy Tahoe that was stopped along the east curb on Haskell Avenue.

Police asked anyone who may have witnessed the traffic accident to call the department's Valley Traffic Division at (818) 644-8000.
