2 Wounded In Commerce Shooting

COMMERCE, Calif. (CBS) ― Two people were wounded in a shooting in Commerce Monday, authorities said.

The shooting in the 5200 block of Jillson St., near Wilma Avenue, was reported about 9:15 p.m., according to a lieutenant at the Los Angeles County Sheriff Department's East Los Angeles Station.

Both victims were taken to a hospital, and their conditions were not immediately known, the lieutenant said.

Deputies were conducting a search for the suspects near the site of the shooting, a residential area, the lieutenant said.

A description of the assailants was not immediately released.
