O.C. Clown Withdraws Guilty Pleas To Molestation

FONTANA (AP) ― David Albert Lemus, who entertained audiences as Trim-Trim the Clown, told a judge in Fontana he wants to withdraw guilty pleas to molesting two girls.

The 51-year-old Lemus was in court Thursday for sentencing to 12 years in prison. Instead, he told Superior Court Judge Stephan Saleson he wants to back out of the plea deal because his lawyer Gina Kershaw didn't fight for him.

The judge appointed another attorney to review the case.

Lemus was arrested after two girls said he sexually abused them at the National Orange Show Events Center. The crimes were allegedly committed while he wore heavy makeup, a red wig, floppy shoes and a big red nose.
