Son Arrested In Mom's Stabbing Death In Chatsworth

LOS ANGELES (AP) ― Los Angeles police say a 23-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of stabbing his mother to death.

Sgt. Bruce Vermaat says officers responded after an ambulance had been called to the home in the Chatsworth neighborhood late Sunday morning.

Carmen Soria, 47, was discovered dead at the scene from multiple stab wounds.

Her son, John Soria, was arrested and booked into Van Nuys jail.

Vermaat says Soria is being held on $1 million bail.
