Suspect Sought In Car-To-Car Shooting
COACHELLA, Calif. (CBS) ―
Investigators Tuesday sought a suspect in a vehicle-to-vehicle shooting that left one man wounded in the face in Coachella, a sheriff's information officer said.
Jose Armando Banuelos was recovering from the non-life-threatening wounds inflicted about 4 p.m. Monday on Morgan Avenue at Avenue 52, sheriff's Investigator Jerry Franchville said.
Investigators believe shots were fired from both the white Camaro in which Banuelos was an occupant and a red pickup truck.
The occupant or occupants of the pickup fled the scene but left the pickup, Franchville said.
Deputies impounded both vehicles, but the weapons used in the shootings were gone, Franchville said.
Banuelos was uncooperative, Franchville said.
