Child Struck By Alleged Hit-And-Run Driver

CANOGA PARK, Calif. (CBS) ― A 17-month old boy is in the hospital after he was struck down by an alleged hit-and-run driver in Canoga Park Wednesday night.

The boy and his father were crossing street in the 2100 block of Saticoy Street just after 9 p.m.

His father said they crossed when the light was green.

But a black town car made a left turn and hit the two and sped off.

The vehicle is described as a 1990s, black 4-door sedan.

The toddler suffered minor injuries.

His father was not hurt.
