3.4 Earthquake Hits Near Cabazon

CABAZON, Calif. (AP) ― A minor earthquake has shaken the Palm Springs area, but there are no reports of any damage or injury.

The magnitude-3.4 quake struck at 10:39 Sunday night at a depth of about eight miles, according to a preliminary report from the U.S. Geological Survey. It was centered two miles northeast of Cabazon and 14 miles west of Palm Springs.

A dispatcher from the Riverside County Sheriff's Department says there has been no word of injuries or damages in the area.
