Fire Crews Knock Down Brush Fire In East L.A.

Firefighters knocked down a brush fire burning Sunday in East Los Angeles.
The fire, which was located at 1800 N. Police Academy Drive, was believed to have scorched between three to five acres of medium to light brush, according to Brian Humphrey, spokesman for the Los Angeles Fire Department.
No structures were threatened and no injuries were reported, Humphrey said
It took 73 firefighters approximately 42 minutes to put out the blaze, according to Humphrey.
No other information was immediately available.
