Britney Spears Remains In Psychiatric Hospital

Family Gets Restraining Order Against Manager Lutfi

LOS ANGELES (AP) ― It's another day in the hospital for Britney Spears. The troubled pop star is in a psychiatric ward at UCLA Medical Center, where she was taken by ambulance on Thursday.

Friday, her father and an independent attorney were named conservators of her estate, meaning they control her finances and are in charge of her welfare.

Spears also was hospitalized last month after a bizarre episode at her home where she refused to return one of her two young boys after a supervised visit.

She was in for less than two days but the episode resulted in her losing custody of both children to her ex-husband, Kevin Federline.
