An autopsy was pending Sunday on a woman whose burned body was found in the unincorporated South Los Angeles community of Athens Village.

An autopsy was pending Sunday on a woman whose burned body was found in an alley in the unincorporated South Los Angeles community of Athens Village.
Authorities received a report of a fire in an alley near the 200 block of West 126th Street at around 8 p.m. Saturday, Los Angeles County sheriff's Deputy Rick Pedroza said.
After firefighters extinguished the blaze, they discovered a body, according to Detective Dave Dolson.
The victim's name has not been released.
The body was turned over to coroner's investigators, who will try to determine the cause of death, Jerry McKibben of the coroner's office said.
