H.S. Trainer Accused Of Sex With Minor Arrested

LOS ANGELES An athletic trainer working at Tustin High School was arrested for allegedly having a sexual relationship with a male student, a sheriff's spokesperson said Wednesday.

23-year-old Hope Jacoby was arrested at the school Friday for an alleged relationship with a boy between the ages of 14 and 17 years old, according to Orange County sheriff's spokesman Jim Amormino.

According to jail records, Jacoby's bail was set for $100,000, which she posted early Saturday.

Amormino said Jacoby worked for a company hired by the school to train its athletes in various sports.

Jacoby allegedly had sex with the student at various locations around the county over the past year. Amormino said it's unknown if any sexual activity took place on the school campus.

Investigators suspect that Jacoby may have had inappropriate contact with others at the school. Any other possible victims are urged to call the sheriff's department at (714) 628-7170.
