A former high school athletic trainer is expected to be sentenced later this month to probation and 30 days of Caltrans service stemming from her guilty plea to having sex with a male high school student.
Hope Ashley Jacoby, 24, of San Juan Capistrano, pleaded guilty Wednesday to four felony counts of unlawful sexual intercourse and three felony counts of oral copulation of a minor, said Farrah Emami of the Orange County District Attorney's Office.
Jacoby entered her plea on an offer by the judge that she will be placed
on three years of probation and ordered to perform 30 days of Caltrans service.
Prosecutors objected to the sentence, Emami said.
Between Jan. 1 and Dec. 19 of last year, Jacoby had unlawful sex with the boy, who was 16 and turned 17 during that time, in her car and at her San Juan Capistrano home on several occasions, Emami said.
She met the teen while she worked as an athletic trainer at Tustin High School, Emami said.
Jacoby will be sentenced on July 29.
